ERIS Simple X

Fixed gas detectors ERIS Simple X (hereinafter: gas detectors) are designed for measuring mass concentration and/ or volume proportion of explosive gases and vapours (including petroleum vapours), oxygen, carbon dioxide, toxic gases in the air of the working area of industrial premises and open spaces of industrial facilities, pipelines and ducts, technologicalgaseous media.
The operation principle of gas detectors covers the following technologies:
- Optical,
- Electrochemical
Gas detectors are single-channel and fixed-line devices equipped with replaceable sensors that operate automatically. They perform the following functions:
- Measurement of the volume fraction or mass concentration of flammable gases, flammable liquid vapours (including petroleum vapour), toxic gases (including freons/ refrigerants), explosive concentrations according to the standard (GOST 12.1.005-88) and permissible maximum concentrations
- A unified current signal from 4 to 20 m is produced.
- Digital signals output via RS-485 (including MODBUS RTU), HART, Kalibri and E-WIRE, LoRa, LoRaWAN, MXair, Infinet, ERconnect (digital, wireless protocols for transmitting measured value data in real time at 868 MHz or 2.4 GHz within IoT Internet of Things systems and IoT Integrated Solutions).
- The data is transmitted in a coded format, and encryption is done using a 128-bit E-Key and dynamic e-DKey code (on request).
- Warning of the need to replace a sensitive element
- Energy-independent memory storage for event archives.
Gas detectors are presented in the following modifications:
ERIS Simple X1,
ERIS Simple X2,
ERIS Simple X3,
ERIS Simple X4.Their differences are in the construction of the housing, the equipment options and the mounting methods. Each housing modification is available in different temperature options:
- Option 1,
- Option 2,
- Option 3,
- Option 4,
- Option 5.
These options are designed for using in various climatic conditions, with operating temperature ranges and Ex marking (see the Table).
Gas detectors are constructed in a plastic housing with a cover (on request, the housing can be made of steel or aluminum alloy, covered with powder paint).The housing cover is equipped with an LCD display that includes indicators and control buttons.
ERIS Simple X3 model’s housing has a single entrance located at the bottom of the housing, while ERIS Simple X1, ERIS Simple X2, ERIS Simple X4 models have two threaded entrances located on the sides, intended for connecting cable inputs with subsequent installation of cables from the power source, signal output and interfaces.Gas detectors have holes in their housing that enable various mounting options.
Inside the body/ housing installed:
- External switching board;
- Electronic module;
- A sensor holder in which one of the following types of sensors is installed: IR - infrared, EC - electrochemical. The sensors are equipped with an integrated energy-independent memory, which stores calibration characteristics, the name of the measured component, correcting factors and measurement ranges.
In addition, (on request), gas detectors can be equipped with the following options:
- Accident relay (ERIS Simple X2, ERIS Simple X4) for ACCIDENT, Threshold 1, Threshold 2, Threshold 3 (Threshold 3 is only available for models designed to measure ammonia);
- HART interface
- Connector for HART
- Light and audible indication
- Wireless transmission module (2.4 GHz, 868 MHz, via E-WIRE protocol, LoRa, LoRaWAN, MXair, Infinet, ERconnect);
- Stand-alone power supply module
